Thy Travels by Train #1: London

Good afternoon to you all.

Today I am on a trip to London to start my 'Thy Travels by Train' series. As mentioned yesterday I enjoy travelling by train and I'd love to share that passion with you all. I've only had a few hours in London today as I'm going to be home for dinner as my finances are a bit tight this month.

I had exited London Waterloo station after getting lunch at a shop on the station concourse and I noticed an old boat on the Thames that has been converted into a pub. I love a good pub, so I just had to pop in for one. Alcohol free, of course as I'm on an alcohol free day today.

London is full of amazing sights, and here we see St Stephen's Tower (Often known as 'Big Ben' after the bell inside the tower). Just a stone's throw from Westminster tube station and a short walk from London Waterloo station.

It's always best to travel by Train into London if possible. That way you don't need to worry about the hassle of parking when you get there and you don't need to pay congestion charges etc. The above photo shows a picture I took out the window from my Train.

Some Important Lessons

Evening all.

As we roll on into 2020, and set our new years resolutions, it's important to reflect on some of the things we've learned in 2019.

Be it good or bad, I'm sure we've all learned something in 2019 to take with us into 2020. Myself, I learned lots, both about who I am and general life experience. The majority of my focus in 2019 was work.

This year my focus will remain the same, mostly work. Whilst I will not give away details of who I work for, I will tell you now that I work on the railways and next year I hope to start my training in how to drive a train.

I'd love to also get out and travel more, and that will be coming under my new blog series 'Thy Travels by Train' starting tomorrow. This is a series aiming to demonstrate to you the very best that Train Travel in England can offer. From bustling cities to quiet little country villages, England's rail network can get you there without the hassle of having to park your car or having to pull over to use the roadside facilities.

Happy 2020 everyone. Let's make sure it's a good year for us all.
