Good Evening
I've been away for a while as I've been piling on the overtime at work, but today I received a few simple messages that have inspired this post.
Earlier this evening, my friend Latasha wrote a blog about a friend she had who became a very toxic person towards her which has given me some inspiration. You can read her blog here
Myself and Latasha have both experienced the problems caused by toxic friends before we met. She has experienced issues, which people sometimes used to their advantage to cause her problems, again more on that is written on her blog. My issues were slightly more mundane, mostly being bullied for wanting to become a Train Driver from a young age (And it's happening, trust me!). The way that me and her both suffered, however, was very similar. We both became quite depressed as a result of it and although we've both fought through it, it was by no means easy.
These kinds of toxic people that me and Latasha have both experienced can have consequences that go far beyond what these toxic people think they can. It can affect people their entire lives. It can stop some people from even feeling as though they should be alive, and that is something no-one should ever have to go through. Fortunately, these people are few and far between and you won't encounter them very often. When you meet this sort of person, you should stop and evaluate whether or not you actually need them in your life at all. You'll likely find your life so much better without them. As for how they've affected me, well I'd love to see their face when they see me driving a Train.
Myself and Latasha both make a valid point here. Although it can be hard to remove a toxic person from your life, if we can both do it then so can you. You should just focus on being the best person you can be. It may be hard but you can do it. We believe in you.
Have a good evening and remember, you've got this.

Thy Travels by Train #1: London
Good afternoon to you all.
Today I am on a trip to London to start my 'Thy Travels by Train' series. As mentioned yesterday I enjoy travelling by train and I'd love to share that passion with you all. I've only had a few hours in London today as I'm going to be home for dinner as my finances are a bit tight this month.
I had exited London Waterloo station after getting lunch at a shop on the station concourse and I noticed an old boat on the Thames that has been converted into a pub. I love a good pub, so I just had to pop in for one. Alcohol free, of course as I'm on an alcohol free day today.
London is full of amazing sights, and here we see St Stephen's Tower (Often known as 'Big Ben' after the bell inside the tower). Just a stone's throw from Westminster tube station and a short walk from London Waterloo station.
It's always best to travel by Train into London if possible. That way you don't need to worry about the hassle of parking when you get there and you don't need to pay congestion charges etc. The above photo shows a picture I took out the window from my Train.

Some Important Lessons
Evening all.
As we roll on into 2020, and set our new years resolutions, it's important to reflect on some of the things we've learned in 2019.
Be it good or bad, I'm sure we've all learned something in 2019 to take with us into 2020. Myself, I learned lots, both about who I am and general life experience. The majority of my focus in 2019 was work.
This year my focus will remain the same, mostly work. Whilst I will not give away details of who I work for, I will tell you now that I work on the railways and next year I hope to start my training in how to drive a train.
I'd love to also get out and travel more, and that will be coming under my new blog series 'Thy Travels by Train' starting tomorrow. This is a series aiming to demonstrate to you the very best that Train Travel in England can offer. From bustling cities to quiet little country villages, England's rail network can get you there without the hassle of having to park your car or having to pull over to use the roadside facilities.
Happy 2020 everyone. Let's make sure it's a good year for us all.
